How the Conversion Rate Calculator works

Conversion rate (Amazon calls it unit session percentage in Business Reports) is the share of visitors who buy. It drives both organic ranking and advertising cost: your affordable bid is price × conversion rate × target ACoS, so doubling conversion doubles what you can pay per click.

Use ad clicks for a campaign-level rate or listing sessions for the overall rate.

Formula

  • Conversion rate = Orders ÷ Clicks (or sessions) × 100
  • Orders at target = Clicks × Target rate
  • Max CPC = Price × Conversion rate × Target ACoS

Example

12% conversion, already at target; each extra point of conversion would add 5 orders per 500 clicks.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good Amazon conversion rate?

Around 10–15% for a healthy listing; top listings in strong niches exceed 20%. Sponsored ad clicks usually convert a little lower than organic sessions.

Why does conversion matter for PPC?

Because cost per order = CPC ÷ conversion rate. Better conversion is the cheapest way to lower ACoS.
